Jean Morrison, MA ![]() Jean Morrison has been engaged in the field of education since her teens, knowing early in life that learning and community were her passions. With an undergrad degree in Education and a Masters in Psychology, Jean’s career path has led her to work with adolescents, inmates, parents, educators, childcare providers, and business teams. Jean became a certified trainer with the international Center for Nonviolent Communication in 1989 and provides training and consultation in the US and New Zealand. She is a founding and active member of Nonviolent Communication Santa Cruz on the central coast in California (nvcsantacruz.org). Jean has been designing and creating programs and learning materials since 1988. Together with Christine King, she founded Galloping Giraffe Enterprises to create interactive games and materials based on Nonviolent Communication, activities designed to develop connection, understanding, and peace through fun and discovery. Jean co-authored with Sylvia Haskvitz the chapter “Conflict Resolution and Understanding of Self; Key Aspects of Nonviolent Communication® (NVC)” for the college textbook One Paradigm, Many Worlds (Cambridge Scholars Press 2008).
