Discover the playful, practical and transformative heart of Nonviolent Communication.
July 23-28, 2007
Harmony Hill Retreat Center, Hood Canal, WA

Our Goal: To support educators in creating schools and classrooms where compassion, respect and cooperation naturally thrive and where the joy of learning is palpable. We envision our young people with skills to create life-serving systems, within themselves, in their interpersonal relationships and in their social and political organizations, thus empowered to create a peaceful and sustainable world.

The Educators Institute is designed to:

  • Co-create a life-serving classroom
  • Deepen Nonviolent Communication skills & consciousness
  • Model and practice life-serving processes and structures for learning
  • Provide approaches and activities for sharing NVC with young people
  • Create a fun, safe and nurturing environment
  • Create a network for ongoing support

By participating you will practice skills that increase your ability as educators to:

  • Care for your own needs as well as the needs of students, teachers, administrators and parents
  • Create partnership relationships based on mutual respect and cooperation
  • Significantly reduce conflicts
  • Communicate effectively
  • Put democratic values into practice
